Beware of organization… it is wholly unnecessary.(Watchtower 9/15/1895, pg. 1866)
Christian is the only name we need to be called. (Watchtower Mar-Apr 1883, pg. 458)
i recieved a phone call last night from a brother who i was able to verify was of the anointed.
he stated he represented a large group of anointed from within the organization and they wanted to send me a letter.
the anointed remnant.

hi, folks, my wife is taking legal action in alberta against her pedophile stepfather who denied everything (when reappointed a ms), and since made an elder despite "unprovable accusations".. will, the society automatically step in to make a defense just because he's an elder?
we already had this go through all the "proper channels" right to the legal dept.
of canada in 97/98, so this story isn't new to them.
If any of this gets to the public media, please let me know.
i posted this in another thread.... i wanted to give it its due concideration..... i wish to share a small tid-bit of something that came to "light" last week.
it shows how underhanded and sneeky the little trolls are, and they even know they are.. an issue came up recently in a watchtower over a certain number of years that was mentioned in a w.t.
the actual years in the bible was different.
No surprise, when they ask the questions in the study articles, it's always from the paragraph the answers are expected to come. I was a book study conductor once, quess how well added incidental material went over on studies?
just wondering if there were any positives to being a jw.
i have read most of the posts and see that a lot of people were jw for years and years and was thinking that not all that time could things have been bad?
oh and somewhere in gen. it is supposed to state that we are living in the 7th day now????
Tequila night.....
I also learn some self confidence and how to speak in front of audiences without sounding too foolish.
please tell me i made the right decision.
last night the co and another elder showed up at our house just 5 minutes after my husband got home from work (i think they were sitting on the side of the road just waiting for him to come home)*stalkers*, anyway to make along story short, the pressure was on.
i felt like they were there to get us to da ourselves.
Sarah,
Many of us have been through this type of treatment. Personally after a one hour of "how can we help you" the CO finally got fed up with my resistance to "counsel" and admitted that he already decided that I have gone to the dark side. I think for myself. True some of your friends may not initially speak with you, but give them time. You can be very instrumental in opening their eyes.
the biggest error wt has continued to make for the last 120yrs is they leave a wonderful paper trail behind - where a serious student of study will have no problem following and seeing that so many of their lofty claims simply don't fly .
case in point - are the elders trained or untrained clergymen as it were?.
well for those of you who have never served as an elder allow me to share with you what elders are told about their training.
Good post.
I've always been amazed, with all their training they seldom can get things right.
(tequila night)
she is studying with one of jws.
she has a study with her teacher, and then she comes here and talks about it.
she learns that the wts teaches one thing to new ones, but something else entirely to those who are already baptized.
nelly136- thanks. Is that really you? Lord, you're just a babe; compared to me that is.
greetings and salutations!
i've commented a couple times on this post and have hung around for a few weeks and thought i'd tell you a little about myself!
btw...i think this site is awesome and totally therapetic!
Welcome, welcome Daisy:
I cringe every time I think of the KH song "Children-Precious gifts from God"
They are gifts from God; He says 'Use the rod.'
sick, sick, sick people. I'm embarassed that I at one time actually sang those words.
the "kingdom of god," perhaps an earthly kingdom?.
daniel 7:21, 22 says this:.
"i kept on beholding when that very horn made war upon the holy ones, and it was prevailing against them, and judgment itself was given in favor of the holy ones of supreme one, and the definite time arrived that the holy ones took possession of the kingdom itself.".
True there are points in the scriptures that could point to the traditional Christian notion that the faithful go to heaven, or at least some do.
Don't you feel that it seems strange that a loving creator would but man on the earth to fill and cultivate it; and when things went wrong say "Forget the earth thing I started, I want all you people that I think are good enough to come up here with me. These spirit creatures I have up here just can't do their job. And by the way, forget about all that flesh and blood stuff, good food, fulfilling work, families, sex, sun and rain, etc."
I don't buy it. Why does Jesus need faulty humans to help him in heaven? You might say they'll were tested and made perfect. Quite a risk for live eternal, Satan must have looked petty good at one time too.
There are too many other scriptures that simply continue the Jewish concept of a resurection back to a paradise earth apart from fleshly imperfection. I think we could live in an earth made perfect by a heavenly government yet not have to reside in the spiritual heavenly realm.
Guess we'll all some day find out. Hope no one will be disappointed.
